The remote codes included in the manual don't work and I tried the on-screen method as well and no worky. "Learning" didn't work either, at least I don't think it did because I'm not totally sure I understood the manual on this method.Anyway, does anyone know if this Onkyo remote (for the TX-NR807) is capable of connecting to this HD-DVR from DirecTV, or am I wasting my time? This is driving me up the wall! Thanks to anyone in advance who helps me with this!

Well, alls well that ends well. After calling Onkyo for the 10th time over the past 5 days over this issue, a tech rep finally told me what i needed to hear - that I need to change the DirecTV remote mode from RF to IR to allow the Onkyo remote to control it. Man, this could have been concluded 5 days ago, but I'm just glad everything now works like I had hoped.
