I just bought a beautifull TEAC A-BX10 mkII amplifier, but there is no remote control present. Teac inc. is not responding and I can't find nothing about it. Does somebody know where to get one or is there a universal control unit who works with this Teac.? I think the remote type is TEAC RC-685.

I hope to hear from you soon!

Kind regards,

It seems it was manufactured by Thule of Denmark for TEAC, with the former going belly up around 2003.

Click on the "SPECS" link at the bottom of the page for an image of the MkII with remote - though unfortunately the image is too indistinct to make out the model number.

Thnx for the response djy, It was indeed build by Thule in Denmark and I also found a picture of the remote on Ebay. On another forum I found a topic about it, and the guy there said the model number of the remote is TEAC RC-685. The problem is can't find it anywhere.....

Rare as hens teeth I would imagine, and of course being relatively old, and being made by Thule for TEAC rather than by TEAC themselves, there's no guarantee that the codes would standard TEAC - if there is such a thing of course.

The only thing I can suggest is keeping a close eye on the various auction sites and/or contacting someone with a remote and asking if they would kind enough to allow you and copy the codes to a learning remote. Maybe the guys at The Vintage Knob will able to help with that.
