My FIOS box is a DTC700 standard def box, and my Seiki TV is a 32" SC324FB. The furnished FIOS remote is a VZ P265v5. Are there any inexpensive "universal" remotes that can operate both of these devices? I may just upgrade my "Custom" STD service to HD. Does the remote that they furnish with their HD tuner box fully support my Seiki TV?

The remotes channel commands may not work because its locked to cable box commands? When tuned to the Fios box, under tv what happens when you press the ch up key?

The channel up/down only changes the FIOS channel. I now realize that there are no device keys to toggle the remote from "FIOS" controller to "TV" controller, as the upper "TV" and "STB" buttons are just dedicated Power buttons, so there seems to be no button on the remote that could toggle the functionality of the chanel up/down from STB/FIOS channel to TV channel even if Verizon wanted to program this remote to have such capability. So at this point, what I might benefit from is a multi-device replacement remote that can select TV and STB and has codes for both...but at this point, I probably will be exchanging this 480i box for their HDTV one, so I'm not likely to pursue this further.

The OARUSB05G ($15 on Amazon) should work fine. Any missing codes can be learned or downloaded, but both are most likely built in.
