The original equipment remote for my pro 151fd is supposedly able to learn from another ir remote. the manual says how to do so with internal codes but also shows a remote to remote capability but doesn't say how to make it learn. anyone know how?

You're right, the manual isn't very clear, but I would suspect that once in the learning mode (selected mode indicator flashing)... - Press the Kuro button you want to learn to (mode indicator solid?).
- Press the button (the third party remote) you want to learn (hold for 2 seconds).
- Wait for 30 seconds, or until mode indicator starts flashing again.
- Repeat the process for subsequent buttons.

Correct! Your suggested process works fine once you know what flashes to look for. The Kuro is just particular about what buttons it will change. I was finally able to program my Oppo HDMI cable switcher into the Kuro "Receiver Power" button. Thanx,
