Hi. Please Help or my Wife is going to 86 the picture in picture.

Samsung UN60F7500 TV
RadioShack 15-1924 7-in-One remote
Comcast Motorola DCX3400 DVR box with Platinum/red button remote
Comcast Motorola DCT700 non-HD box with Silver/red button remote

The DCX3400 remote controls the DVR box fine and only the DVR box.

I decided to set up PIP using the DCT700 box as second tuner. The DCT700 remote controls the DCT700 box fine as the picture in picture.

However, the DCT700 remote also controls functions on the DVR box. Chanel up changes regular DVR picture and picture in picture.

I found the RadioShack 15-1924 7 in 1 remote hanging around the house. There are no Motorola codes in the manual.

I found reference to code 201 in this forum. I tried it and got weird remote action but not normal remote action - for example Channel Up goes to On Demand -but on the other hand, there was no affect on the DVR box.

Hi. I found the instructions in the Radio Shack manual to cycle through the codes until the correct one is found, and I found it. Unfortunately not only does the Radio Shack remote control the DCT700 box, it also controls the DVR box at the same time. That is, channel up changes the channel on the tv and the picture and picture, so, the Radio Shack remote is working the same as the DCT700 remote which isn't how I had I hoped. I hoped that the DVR remote would control the DVR box and picture and the other of the 2 remotes would control the DCT700 box and the picture in picture.

Sorry you're out of luck, the cable boxes just respond to the same codeset, nothing can change this.

After thinking about this some more unless I have a Comcast tuner to decode the channels, I don't believe that this will ever work.
