I have a DirecTV HR2400 DVR connected to two monitors, one in our family room and the other in our kitchen. I currently have the HR2400 set to RF using a RC65RB remote so that I can control the DVR from the kitchen if needed. But, I would rather set the DVR up to use infrared and RF simultaneously as I've read in a previous post for an RF 15 Receiver and an RC32RF Remote. This would allow me to leave the RC65RB in the kitchen and continue to use my Harmony 1100 in the family room to reduce clutter and minimize DVR remote hunting expeditions.
Unfortunately, following the directions outlined in the previously mentioned post provided by Edmund didn't work for the HR2400. I suspect that there is a new procedure available to activate this feature for the HR2400 though the manual indicates you have to choose either IR or RF and I'm hoping someone can assist.

Right, sorry the HR24 is only IR or RF, never both. The only HD dvr capable of both at the same time is the new THR22 tivo. And the SD dvr's R15 & R16. :(

Edmund, not what I was hoping to hear but thanks for the assist. Looks like I have to take the more difficult route and install an IR repeater system unless I can find a way to get my Harmony 1100 to emulate RF signals from my RC65RB remote. Any suggestions anyone may have would be greatly appreciated.
