I purchased this remote recently and had programmed to TV and blu-ray player. My kids deprogrammed it and now I can't find the manual. I've searched online and even called zenith customer service (provided by LG) but to no avail. It looks very much like the ZN501s that is depicted in the manual in the database on this site. It is a 5 function remote but requires 4-digits codes. All of the zenith information I have found lists 3-digit codes. I specifically need the code to program a sony blu-ray player. I was able to program the tv using the code search feature but the blu-ray would not work. I know it has a code because I had it working for a few weeks. Any help would be appreciated greatly. (If it helps there are two stickers in the battery compartment. The first lists ZP505 and under that DDKJ. On the other side of the compartment there is a sticker that says AM043.)

. . . and now I can't find the manual.

A common theme I'm afraid, people rarely think to keep manuals safe (I'm a sad git and keep everything in a box marked "Manuals").

As you say, there's a distinct dearth of information on this (range) of remotes. I may have a lead, but I'm not sure how long it will take, or even if it'll pan out. Might be quicker to just buy a new one.

Luckily the hubby had it stashed away. When he got home from his business trip he retrieved it from it's hiding place. :) I've scanned the code list and have it saved on my computer now if anyone else needs it. Thanks for trying!

Just reprogrammed my remote and realized that the codes are the same as those for my old GE remote. Do all universals use the same codes?

Alas, no.

In regard to the instructions, would it be possible for you to scan it all and upload it to RC? Daniel is always on the look out for new files.

My take on what to do (obviously for Cobolt PLAU0067, read Zenith ZP505). Alternatively, email the scans to me (address in profile) and I'll do it.

Will do... I'll post again when I've uploaded everything so (if you don't mind) you can double check I've done it correctly.

Thanks again!

Sending email with files right now. I suppose a double check isn't necessary. I'll probably get an email if something goes terribly wrong. Thanks again!
