Hi Hoping to find the perfect Iphone/Ipad application for controlling my Hifi and lights I have been reading some of the old threads for advice.
First of all I want to use the Iphone/Ipad without connecting it physically to a ir-blaster. I want to place a wifi/ir converter in my cabinet that can be controlled by the wanted Iphone/Opad application.
I have found the following apps: irule and iviewer but I don't know if anybody is realy using them and/or if they are happy with their choice. Is there perhaps a better alternative? Irule looks to be a lot cheaper... you buy the editor for 50$ and then you can install it on all your devices where commanfusion costs 159$ per device...
Please help me make the right decision... Maybe I should just keep my TSU9600?
Best regards Bo

I am VERY happy using SQ Remote and SQ Blaster (buy the Blaster get the app for free). Their Blaster 'puck' is WiFi and blasts IR directly and with a set of 3 adhesive remote emitters. Their app is really customizable and it is very responsive. Also when coupled with Vera (Home Autmation Gateway), it controls lights, HVAC, cameras, sprinklers, anything Z-Wave or RS232. www.squareconnect.comwww.micasaverde.com

If you are an installer/integrator Bitwise Controls is fantastic.

iRule is a good universal remote control application for iPad and iPhone. It has uniques features and a simple drag and drop menu that lets you choose your device by brand and model.

If you are an installer On Controls is the way to go. It uses the better and more advanced decentralized way of operation versus the outdated older centralized way of operation that Bitwise or others use.

install it on all your devices where commandfusion costs 159$ per device... True that it is more expensive, but its also much more powerful than anything else.
