I just purchased a silverstone HTPC case with the Imon remote. I just found on there website that the imon uses a "short" ir protocol that the Pronto cannot learn......has anyone had any expierience with this....if this is the case that is what that call WACK. Does this incompatability go for the Imon Pro review on this site? I guess I should have done more research BEFORE buying the case.....

There is a post in soundgraphs board about this:

Re..using Universal Remote controls ?

I managed to get my Pronto remote control to work with the IMON system. In the pronto software I programmed in a delay then send the IR signal and it works. so the program now reads, delay 0.1s then send IR. It is working fine for me now.

Hope it helps. If you succeed please let me know, i am expecting my pronto (RU950) in next few days.

regards,
alejo

A very old thread but I did a search in the file area and couldn't find any Imon configuration for the Pronto Neo. I have problems learning my Pronto the directional buttons so I would appreciate it highly if anyone with a working config would post it.

I have a Silverstone LC 20M case with iMON for my music server. I got the on off command to work with the time delay noted above some time ago. I also got some of the other commands to work but it was inconsistent.

I finally ran into the Gyro mouse and remote keyboard by gyration. This a far better solution for controlling the PC. The Gyration device will not power on the PC however, so I use my universal remote to turn the PC on and off and setup all of the video and audio devices to work with the HTPC. By the way I've switched from the Pronto to a URC MX 980 and the 980 also had trouble learning the iMON on/off command. I pasted the command from the pronto into it and the 980 works fine.

The Gyration device does all of the other PC operation functions needed as would a standard PC mouse and keyboard but from 30 to 40 feet remote. I can even operate the HTPC with the Gyration devices from one floor up while watching the media player from a second HDTV that is fed from the down stairs HT.

Another amusing use of the Gyration Mouse is that you can drag and drop songs from Windows Media Player into the play list while standing up, the mouse does not need to be on a flat surface. I have parties and people play music and dance in front of the HT. Watching them drag and drop songs into the play list while inebriated is quite amusing.
