hello,
I have a Dell Optiplex 755 with Hauppauge PVR-150 Media Center Kit.
the remote (IR) shut the computer down!
But is there any why to turn on the computer with the remote?

thanks a head!

took some time but i understand now...
you have to have this kit installed in the PC if it is not build-in.

Why not just use standby?

found this - Antec multimedia station Basic

this is a MUST have for a HTPC
solved every problem with power up / down & replaced the USB IR of MCE.
works with every media center program (MCE, KODI, XBMC, MEdia browser)
much more elegant then the MCE remote IR receiver.
perfect solution for me!
