Anyone using the Hauppauge codes available in CCP to control a HTCP via a URC remote?

If so how is it? workable?

Am looking at transforming my current PC into a HTPC and am looking for control options.

I have a MX-880.

but just use the ir receiver, keep the remote for emergency use.

The PC codes in CCP work just fine. No problems.

There is one problem though, you need to have a media center edition of windows to PnP the USB IR receiver. If you don't have MCE of your windows version you need to change the irbus.inf file to get everything working.

If you have problems with controlling it via Hauppauge CCP codes... assume the PC the culprit until you have tested it with a stand alone MCE remote.

It will work, it just takes some tinkering on some installs.
