Hello everyone, I've just bought a LifeView TV-card for my pc, and received with it a small remote controller (something like 2x3.5 inch/5.5x8.5 cm) and a small IR receiver. Now I would like the remote to be able to turn off the computer, or activate a shortcut I created to turn off the computer. Can I possibly program the remote to do one of this actions? I would be thankful to whom will be able to help me...
Thank you, Amit

Is there no power button on the remote? Shutting off a computer by remote is easy; it's turning it back on again that's hard/impossible. :-)

Thank you for the reply The 'Power' button on the remote turns off the program which I watch TV with. Unfortunately for some reason after turning off the program the screen saver does not work... So therefore I would like to turn off the screen\computer with the remote. Can I assign one of the buttons to a program file? I've already managed to find *.exe files that turn off the pc\monitor.
Thanks again
