DirecTV Shows Off HD DVR

The HR21 PRO has been making the rounds again -- this time with a few specs and possible release date.


For a while we’ve been hearing about new DirecTV’s HD DVR. Now it looks like we’re actually going to see it.

The HR21 PRO can store 100 hours of high-def content in MPEG4, with support for 1080p and optical HDMI. There’s no word on pricing, but Multichannel News says it will be over the $1,000 mark.

Its black, has an Rs-232 port, and it is rack moutable.

Now I can keep those freakin Direct TV retards (installers) from messing up my installs because they can't or won't figure out how to get in the rack. :)
