Spent a few hours yesterday working on the look & feel for my own remote project.  Still pretty rough around the edges but here it is:

I still need to tweak the placement of a few objects as it's a bit wonky and I need to fix a bunch of contrast issues but I'm generally happy with how its coming along.

Thoughts?

Very cool. Love the simple icons. Making them different colors seems like a minor thing but it really makes a big difference. I dont think it looks wonky at all. I think it looks great.

Yah, I decided to use simple icons because I wanted something a bit different and also because they are much faster to draw ;)

Thats one of the areas that needs more work. I think the whole home functions should be located there: climate, weather, security, cameras, irrigation system etc etc. They are global so it makes sense hierarchically that they are up there.

Thanks fellas. I'm working on refining things a bit and will post an updated version along with some additional screens shortly. It was done for use with iRule but I would be happy to help assist in porting it to other platforms.

memmo, that looks pretty good! I use iRule, also. Although it's mostly the default UI, I did a lot of customizing.

Finally got back to working on my remote these past couple weeks.  Here's an updated version in the general style I'd like to move forward with.  Have to fix a couple issues with sizing and contrast, but other than that I'm pretty happy.
