I need help setting up the macros for my mx3000. Or if someone can point me in the direction of someone reputable in the Chicago area. The company that set it up last time took the guy 3 days and it still did work correctly. I hear bad thing about the local chain. Please help.

I apologize as I am not from Chicago and my post will do nothing to help you, but I am just curious what is in your system that took 3 days to program. Also what were your expectations as far as the performance of the remote?

MX3000 is a 'ok' remote at best, the URC base station isn't what I would call immune to noise and thats about half the problems I see with most of the installs.

As far as programming, you would need the software (specific for the mx3000) available to authorized dealers. Its far from a good program to use, but it isn't terrible. If your guy has been there 3 days find a new one, being its a one way remote with 0 two way, 0 anything really, it should take a few hours and thats assuming you built it from scratch.

If its not working reliably, move the RF receiver, change channels, lastly make sure they turned off the IR blaster on the RF receiver, it can cause alot of havok when devices get the codes from the emmiters, and also the blaster.
