No it's that they are completely useless and incompetent. What I was really pointing out was that in my opinion... it's laughable to me when I read a post saying owh a salary guy "bust his ass" to get where he is. He put in 50 hours and answered some calls on the weekend. Ha. What a joke. That's a walk in the park. U call that hard work. Killing me.

You have to be a moron to take a salary job at this place. Perhaps that's why management sucks. the benefits blow, the pension is nonexistent for them, most make less then us. I'm telling ya. It's a total circus watching these clowns

And school is a joke. I have a degree. What a waste of $ that was. A degree is only useful to idiots hiring people who believe they hold weight. It shows nothing about character, drive, passion, work ethic. That's the shit that matters not owh gee billy bob took differential equations and all these other useless classes that were requirements which he will never use. I agree the education system is shit. Simply basics are neglected like teaching someone about credit scores and how important they are but you'll learn Latin. Cuz that's real f'ing useful in real life.

It's really a shame that Mac already debunked your theories and you couldn't see it. My FiL went with GE at the age of 18 and a new born daughter, and went to night school while working days to become an EE and one of their top people in the states

(Seriously, anyone got any legit criticisms, and I'll. pay your pornhub subscriptions.)

He probably coulda skipped the schooling, done just as well and saved 40 grand. Problem is the idiots above him value a useless degree over and wouldn't even consider him without it. Luckily it worked out and they apparently got a dude with drive and perhaps some passion for what he did

The difference is that 50 hours making calls is greater than 80 hours pulling wire. No calls no projects to pull wire.

And 50 hours? LOL that just means your salary guys take too long to put their coats on at quitting time. That or they aren't keeping track of the real amount of time they put in every week.

Well, those of us who thought this was a bad idea pretty much wrote that article when this happened.* We didn't count on the brother, though ii I bet we would have seen a lawsuit coming if we had known about him!

So, to all who think this was a pretty good idea, we have to say it again: That is not the way the world works.

*April, May, June, July... one third of a year.

The liberals who supported this idea won't admit they're wrong, though. One characteristic of a liberal is that when their ideas fail, they don't admit it.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Then again you reubs want the same minimum wage back when gas was 40 cent sd a gallon and rent was cheap. Uh.... this is 2015 dudes!

You speak as though you are an employee who takes a paycheck - good times and bad.. Am I mistaken, are you the owner of your company?

It's funny how there can be such differing opinions on this deal.

So many think it's a terrible idea to share the wealth, and others think it's a great idea.

Bottom line?

The company IS growing and gaining many more clients, so maybe, just maybe, there will be some good to come out of it.

The brother that filed suit?

Without knowing every minute detail, we can't tell if he's right or wrong in his efforts. But I will say, I do think he's going about this the wrong way.

The brothers, should sit down at dinner and work it out, rather than ruin their relationship, and give thousands of dollars to some useless damn lawyers.

I dont care what year it is. The same holds true in every year. EARN your keep. You want to make more money? Improve your skill set. This whole notion that everyone needs to earn enough to pay their bills simply based on the fact they have a pulse is bs. If you're making X amount of dollars and your bills total out to Y amount of dollars, you don't get a raise to Y automatically. Either your living over your means or you improve yourself to earn Y or better yet, Z.

All I can say is that if or when the $15 an hour for front line employees at my local coffee/fast food shop comes around. I BETTER be treated with respect. And I BETTER not have any chemicals in my drink/food. Especial ones that will destroy my insides as I drink it because I trusted them.

Liberals do not have the market cornered on bad ideas or the inability to admit it when they are wrong. Would you believe that most GOP politicians still think that tax cuts for the rich trickle down for everyone?

Agreed. Ernie, generalizations are never factual for everyone.

Mac is perfect example. If I understand correctly, Mac would classify himself as having liberal values but predicted that co-workers would not accept this type of income distribution.

On the topic of income distribution...I think its a really bad idea to pay everyone the same no matter what the position. All it will do is make the skilled personnel angry and make the unskilled labor grateful but lazy IMO. Why would i deal with installations and customers when i can make the same money washing urine off the walls in the company bathroom? No midnight Christmas Eve emergency AV phone calls when you clean bathrooms for $75,000.00 a year.

But...i don't have a problem with a higher minimum wage for companies employing more than 100 people. There is no excuse for Walmart (and the like) to pay their employees so little that i have to pay for their housing, medical insurance and supplemental food. Why do they do it? So a few billionaires can have a few extra billion in case they ever run out of billions? Ridiculous.

By the way...i literally started out in this industry cleaning toilets (and speakers and amps). At 12 years old... 1 day a week i would ride the bus and walk for 1.5 hours. I I can remember wearing my football equipment to work some days because i couldn't get out of practice. I remember putting price tags on the green CD markers and packs of cable lifters. The good old days when a $100,000 sale meant 1 day of installation!

I missed those days completely. Pioneer Tvs were the last remaining product with a reasonable mark-up.

Ah yes, the good old days when a 42" Pioneer plasma went for $21,000.00 plus installation, and it didn't come with a mount, tuner, etc, etc.

And everyone could afford to buy one.... NOT
