The system I need is actually for a quad that has limited arm movement in one arm. When in bed he won't be able to move and talk for sure and maybe not even when in his chair. He needs an always on intercom but that you can talk from the other one also. Does this make sense?

A baby monitor will be perfect for this It has a one way monitor feed unless switched to reply from the remote unit.

That is what they have already. Yes, it can be on but the other person on the other end can't respond back when it is in the always on position.

They do have units with a return or talkback mode.

Check out the LEM-1 series from Aiphone. The remote is always in monitor or listen mode (with the patient) and the master can manually call back to respond.

Thanks. I have been looking them up on google and found a lot of stuff. The problem is there is so much stuff I am a little confused. Is there a better place to get it at than another? Is there a place that has a good customer service that could explain the system to me or that I could explain the situation and they could set me up?

Aiphone will direct you to a dealer in your area. They are quite adept at explaining the system workings and their equipment is first rate.

If they can find me a dealer in my area they are lucky. I live in a remote area many miles from a larger city.

How about 2 (or 20 for that matter)  baby monitors a base and a receiver in each area.
Both Channel A & B for each Room.
Instead of asking me why my price is high ask the other guys why they are low.

Just call them or email and tell them what you want. I did it for you the first time to find the LEM-1 They will provide all the documentation and explanation you want/need.

I have used Aiphone for years with not one issue.

Sounds good. Thank you very much. I will do just that.
