I recently went with Dish Tv. Got the 322 receiver set up for two tv's. The second one is controlled by their 4.0 IR/UHF PRO remote. I want to program my MX-500 to somehow mimic it. IS this possible? I read where the signal is sent in UHF and IR, but the IR is in "SAT" mode. The usual method of learning obviously does not work, and I'm wondering if since the other signal is UHF and not RF, that I might well be SOL.

Any help to send me in the right direction (or completely squash my dream) will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Mike

The MX-500 (or any other universal remote for that matter) can only control IR equipment. If your control is via RF or UHF, only the remote that came with the component can control it. If you can control the 322 via IR from your second TV's location, then preprogrammed code 122 in the MX-500 should work.

For future reference, questions about the MX-500 should be posted in the "Universal Remote Control" forum.

...... which is the forum for the Consumer Line from URC, of which the MX-500 is one.

Not that you needed any help, Mike! :-)
