After a recent spring cleaning, I found that I had somehow lost an MX-980 charging dock. I went crazy trying to find where I put it. Weeks later, I discovered I had accidentally been using it as my MX-990 dock! I never even realized they were compatible. Mystery of the missing MX-980 dock was now solved.
So, the purpose of this thread is to share dock and battery compatiblity information.
CHARGING STATIONS
MX-5000 cradle (6V, 2A) -------------- Compatible with MX-5000 only? My MX-950, 980 & 990 do not fit into this cradle.
MX-880 cradle ----------- Theoretically compatible with MX-880, MX-990, MX-950, MX-980 and MX-990. I am unable to test to confirm.
MX-890 cradle ----------- Theoretically compatible with MX-880, MX-990, MX-950, MX-980 and MX-990. I am unable to test to confirm.
MX-950 cradle (5V, 2A) ----------- Compatible with MX-950, MX-980, MX-990. And ChatGPT says it's also compatible with MX-880 and MX-890, though I cannot test to confirm this.
MX-980 cradle (5V, 1A) ----------- Compatible with MX-950, MX-980, MX-990. And ChatGPT says it's also compatible with MX-880 and MX-890, though I cannot test to confirm this.
MX-990 cradle (5V, 1A) ----------- Only works for the MX-990. Nothing else fits into the cradle.
