Any helpful ideas with this.

I have used an MX980 for months now and all is well. I moved to an MX980i so I could use an MX260i base station I had.

I could not find any setting in CCP for the i, so just used the exisitng file I used for the MX980 and added an MRF260.

The channel in CCP and on the MRF260i is #1. When I try and use the base station the MRF260i blinks showing the signal is being received OK but does not opperate the device.

I know the RF environmet is OK as for years my MX850 and MRF250 worked fine.

I also tried an MRF350i and got the same problem. BUT I only have the MRF350i and no antenna so used an RX150 I had lying about, so this may not be a fair test .

Thanks

The antenna is the difference on the mrf-350i. Switching to a non i antenna will not work (mismatching frequencies). Are 260i emitters flashing?

Many thanks for the thoughts. I have shelved the MX350i.

I never use flashers, but have RF output set to all in CCP.

I plugged a flasher into each output in turn and for each one when I pressed a button on th MX980i the front red light flashed and the flasher flashed, but the device 2 foot away did not respond.

Just as a test I changed the MX260i to channel 0 and channel 2 with the MX980i still on 1 and nothing flashed.

I would seem the MXC260i is getting a signal, and send it out but this is some how scrambeling it up ?

You probably know this, but the emitter has to be placed precisely in front of the window on the device. Which device is not responding? Are you sure the emitter is in the right place? A bright flashlight will often reveal an opaque spot smaller than a dime that you have to nail with the emitter location.

And CCP software has to be set to the same RF ID as the base station.

AND you sometimes have to move the antenna around, even collapse the antenna to the folded up position to prevent interference from nearby devices, especially cable boxes. Make sure the activity LED is not glowing in the slightest when no button is pressed.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Thanks for the thoughts, I do not use the flashers usually but just plugged them in as a test, with the MX260i 2 foot away from a Sky+HD box I get no responce using the MX260i, but using the remote 10 foot away all is fine.

There is no flicker on the MX260i unless I Press a remote button, and my MX250 worked with an MX850 fine for yers.
