I'm struggling to directly access my sources through the serial port. Using CCP and according to the guidelines from McIntosh it should be !SRC and then the source number. Have tried everything and I'm sure it's something simple (or stupid) that I'm missing. Everything else works great, and I can access the sources just fine using the IR data, it's just a little janky to have a flasher on the front of this gorgeous piece of equipment.

What base station are you using to send the RS232 strings? By the way, that model has an IR jack on the back. So you do not need an IR flasher on the front either.

Hello Brad,
I'm using a MRX-2. Good point on the IR in jack. Absolutely everything else works but those direct source commands.

So you are trying to program the CCP app to control RS232? Or do you have an old MX-5000 or KP-4000?
Those 3 products are the only way to use the serial ports in CCP.
Have you tried using the RS232 codes for McIntosh in CCP? Code 1236?
Also, default Baud Rate on the MRX-2 is 9600. The McIntosh wants 115200. So you need to click on the serial port properties in CCP and change that.

I'm so stupid, it works fine and the answer was right there on the docs from McIntosh. All good now, thanks again for the help. D
