I have the CCP from my dealer version 3.9 1127.1. I made some changes to my system but I cannot get my remote to learn the code for the on or off function of the 2 button remote that comes with the 1850G. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I can get the CCP software into the learn ir mode but it will not learn. I have held the remote close and far, front and back (not sure where the input for learning is on the MX 780. I am using IR only no RF Mod. Is there way to try to go head to head to the remote only to try to get it to lean the IR codes?

Thank you for your help.

the end you point at the device you want to control, is also the end of the remote that learns codes from other devices.  Usually if you hold the remotes end to end about an inch away, that will work.

I'm not familiar with that monster hdp, but from what I looked up, the original remote is RF, which means you won't be able to teach those codes to the mx780 remote.  As far as I can tell, there isn't even an IR remote option for that unit, so I think you are stuck.
