I have my URC Remote TRC-1080 on 2.4Ghz connected to Ruckus Unleashed Wifi.

It works 80% of the time. Commands are quick and responsive, but sometimes the Remote delays the commands. I have to wait for the First command to be executed and then press the Remote Key for the next Command. This behavior is with all the remote commands.

I have tried switching the Wifi Channel from 1 to 11, doesn't help. The Wifi is dedicated to this remote. I have a static IP set for the Remote and the Wifi also has a static IP.

I have to Remove the battery from the Compartment and Reinstall the battery so that the Remote works Normal.

Does anyone have insight as to what could be going wrong here.

I am using Total Control 2.0, The Base Station is a MRX-15 with a Static IP

One of the suggestions from a long time member is as follows:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is how URC recommends you set up your TRC1080's wifi:

1. set the remote to dhcp and reserve the ip in your router
2. create a 2.4GHz only wifi network for the remote and connect to that
3. use channel 1,6, or 11
4. set channelization to 20
5. use WPA2 Only/AES for encryption
6. don't put any spaces in your SSID

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have configured as per above, but the lag in the commands from the TRC-1080 do occur sometimes and I have to remove the battery, wait for a few seconds and then reinstall the battery and then the remote starts working fine.

Does anyone have any idea how to troubleshoot this.
