Can you control a Roku device wit a mx990? It's the only one of my devices I can't get programmed through the software...

I programmed Roku to my 980. Shouldn't be a problem for a 990.

There are 3 devices in the database for Roku. Use the latest one, 839. Works like a charm.

If you want to tweak it, files section here has some additional commands that can be added in.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

It depends on what Roku you have.  If you have a Roku stick, the remote it comes with is Bluetooth only, and thus the stick only accept Bluetooth.  In that case, the MX990 cannot control it.  If you have a Roku box, all of them accept IR to my knowledge, even the ones that come with Bluetooth remotes.

I just got a Roku Ultra. I started with the 839, but when I'd go into Netflix the direction arrows would always skip double. I saw there was a Netflix remote 565 so I used the 565 up/down/left/right and now it behaves properly in all channels. I'm trying out YouTubeTV and Netflix free for a month.

The newer roku remotes with power buttons and IR for tv power & volume like one included with second generation Ultra can emit IR for Roku commands as well as tv commands. If the remote isn't paired with roku, or if the roku it is paired with is unplugged it switches from Wifi Direct to IR for roku commands. Plug the roku back in and its Wifi only again. In a pinch you could use it to program a universal for missing commands. Its great for getting the direct access keys like CBSAA or Directv Now into your universal.

This goes for the Roku Stick+ remote also, although it being IR is worthless on a stick. I guess this is just by product of having Tv IR on board.

Change your repeats to 1...this normally works for us.

Thanks, though using the Netflix commands also did the trick.
