How do you use or convert an MX-980 file to a 990? Thanks for any help on this.

It is the same process as copying an existing 980 into a new file.

add a 990 to your file, then in the option windows select the Existing box, and navigate to the project that you want to copy from.

Thanks, Duct Tape. I have never used (or knew about) that feature, for some reason.

The 980 is my most popular - definitely shifting to the MX-990 which should be the best from the CCP lineup.

There have been some reported issues with the mx990 programming over at the URC forum.  It may be a bit early to start selling these to customers.  I suggest you play with one for a bit first until you are comfortable that it works.

Clients liked the 980 at night for the bright blue lighting on the buttons. How is the 990?
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Just deployed the first two MX-990 setups. Upgraded the client from an MX-980 and MX-880. He loves the design and feel of the 990 - pretty awesome remote.

I was going to upgrade since my 880 is falling apart. Then I put the 990 in my hand and was not liking it. My muscle memory is geared towards the 880 so having the menu/guide/info/exit buttons so small was a turn off. Those are the most popular buttons, too bad they couldn't at least make them a little larger. Maybe something to just get use to.

Not possible other than using Transporter to move devices.

Is the max-990 programming very different from the mix-6000? In other words, can I use the same logic, procedures etc

Unlikely, as the MX-990 does not allow for integer or string variable programming as the MX-6000 does.
