Its still there for me, under NEW, in the drop down menu, you can choose mx-990, than the 990 simulator shows up.

I forgot I did a System Restore on my computer yesterday restoring back to the day before I got the CCP update and that is why it's missing from my computer.

I forgot I did that until after I posted.  Sorry for any confusion.

you wouldn't happen to have the commercial version of ccp, would you?   i doubt that would matter since it is just a different graphics package, but maybe they didn't push out the update for that version.

it would appear that only the residential version has been updated fully.   so installing that would probably work.
