Release date for the MX-990 must be very close.

I'm looking forward to the early reviews by the Pro's here.

It's nice that you're able to use MX-980 files with it. Miss the custom buttons of the 980 though.

Not sure I follow you.  What custom buttons?  The "Watch" & "Listen" or 980 number button style?

the watch and listen buttons on newer mx980 remotes were interchangeable.  urc shipped a package of like 10 different labeled buttons.

they have been replaced by a single button labeled Main.  this main button toggles back and forth between the watch and listen pages.  you can hide one group of pages to make it so it doesn't toggle.

i actually didn't like the watch and listen buttons.  on simpler jobs it was difficult to decide what to stick in there.

The two Mains are something I almost never use on an MX-780 as it winds up being confusing to most customers having the Main button toggle between options. Don't see me using it much here either.

Me either, that is why you can just hide one of the them and the main won't toggle anymore.

Thank you for the clarification.

Yeah. That's programming step #1 for me. ;-)

The only time I ever used Main 2 on a 780 was to control a pair of outdoor speakers fed off a Zone 2 of a Yamaha receiver. I hid the main 2 pages and created a button on the Main 1 page labeled Outdoor with a jump to the Main 2 page. I never use Main 2 otherwise. Automatically gets hidden as well.

Interesting... It's been removed. I still have the folder in Windows Explore, but it no longer shows up in CCP.
