I wasn't picking a fight with you either.

I was just pointing out a long-standing flaw in the MX
Editor software. If it supports Copy/Paste then those
words should appear in the menu and in the right click
context menu. That's just standard windows programming
for something like the past 20 years?

If it wasn't a hidden feature, noone would be surprised
to find it there.

Heck, if they wanted to go crazy they could allow you
to view more then one page at the same time and just drag
'n drop keys from one device to another. Or better yet,
add a right-click drag and drop which would prompt you
whether you wanted to copy a shortcut, copy a learned
code, copy a device code, copy macro, etc.

Good suggestions Jon..... I think you might end up being a solid contributor to this site. Lets keep it positive from here on! Deal?

Sound-

People are going to be quiet or positive when something is working well for them, they're going to be negative when it's not. I'm no different.

I realize this forum went through quite a ruckus when URC changed their support policy, but you don't have to be their bulldog. They can take care of themselves. If people never complained, nothing would ever get fixed.

Which is all I do. The difference you might want to consider is that I don't earn my living in the A/V market. I believe you do?

You might not want to be calling your potential customers spades ...

I originally posted this thread because I was so used to the MX-3000 programming (where copy and paste was easily done on the screen and on the tree). I expected the 950 to be somewhat intuitivie, ubt the copy/paste was buried under the file toolbar section and was not talked about much in the manual.

Easy solution? Yes, stupid question ? Probably. But I was in a bind and some people were nice enough to post a solution without ridiculing the question. I personally feel that the software should allow you to copy/paste on the LCD buttom editor where it belongs, but that's fine. To all that answered thanks for the help.

As the saying goes: There is no such thing as a stupid question....... just a stupid (or sometimes a few) stupid answers. (The last part was paraphrased for proper immediate useage)

........ 'tsall good! :-)
When ignorance is bliss, ‘tis folly to be wise.
