I had a situation where I needed to get a file from an MX-900 and CCP wouldn't do it. It would only work via standalone.

I'm pretty sure this post was one of the last by the OP. He got pretty butchered by this forum for asking for an extinct editor.

I wish the SAE was still available over at the Control Room. I'd love to have a copy.

Interesting. Or not really, since I have the editor. I did open it like 6 months ago. I wanted to see what it looked like again since I couldn't remember

I looked for the post in TCR, but I don't see much for stand alone (or legacy) because it's all wrapped into ccp. I actually feel like that forum has gotten more difficult to navigate since the change over and since CCP2 got added to the TC area. Do you have a post link or at least a section area you can point me to?

If someone uploaded MX900 stand alone on TCR, why doesn't someone upload all the various stand alone editors that are out there but no longer available for download?

I found it in under a couple of minutes over there, he posted at least once and got taken down. Did it again, this time they said it would remain, to help in certain situations.

The only place you're going to find it is on the URC dealer only forum.

In the future, backup your system.

And URC wonder why consumers go and buy a harmony or other brand that provides the software to the consumer. Who am I to compain if it is their business model. I own an MX-350, MX-500, MX-850 and MX-3000 and was given the software with the sale.

I'm an electrical engineer that has been programming these remotes plus other systems far more complicated than a remote for years. I don't need to pay someone plus the added hassel dealing with them to program something I could already do far better.

If I end up loosing the programming software I'll simply move onto some other device.

Because it's free doesn't mean anything. This site does not host URC editor software. If they did a simple DMCA takedown notice would be complied with and it would be gone.

Every remote you have is a dozen years old. How many tech companies do you know of that support products that long?
