I have an MX3000 (Feb 08) which includes a Sony AV Receiver and a SkyHD box.

The UK Sony model (STR-DH800) isn't in the database, but the closest match is Sony 61 (setup 1110). I use setup 204 for SkyHD.

I have now tried to use these devices on older (but better condition) remotes (Apr 07), but they won't work at all.

There are alternates in both cases that do most of the work (174 for Sky and 1022 for Sony AV), and I can learn the rest, but Sky in particular has an issue with the cursor keys that is fixed in the newer device codes (you have to disable repeat on the older ones).

Is there any way to get the older remotes to recognise these device codes? I am using the latest updated software on Windows XP.

The firmware has been updated in all cases to 2.23.2009.3021, but the OS on the newer remote is 4.20.005.010N2 (Dec 13 2007) compared to 4.20.004.010N2 (Apr 10 2007) on the older remotes.

The firmware on the newer remote also states IrMicom3 1.51; no IrMicom version is shown on the older ones once they are updated (the factory firmware on them is 2.23.2007.2121 IrMicom 1.12).

Thank you

Steve
