Apologies in advance for what might be basic questions, but I am more of an RTI guy so I am not horribly familiar with MX Editor(s).

I am trying to figure out if there is a way to pull hex ir code out of a library, or even out of a .mxf file? Also, is there a way to look at an mxf file and know what brands of gear are being controlled? I can see the IR library is pointing to the code for the devices, but I do not see a way to know what brand is associated with those codes.

thanks for the help!

No, and no.

Sometimes. And by that I mean you are supposed to be able to do that but it doesn't always work, especially if its someone else's file. IF it's going to work open up your file and goto Program : Database : Device drop down. Choose the named device and if it works it will auto populate the info for IR Data From, Brand, Model and Codeset. If not...well, you're out of luck.

Welcome to the wonderful world of URC :-)

Thanks for the help tweet.

I know there has been a few discussions on URC vs RTI on here. I'll stick to RTI. As a matter of fact, the reason for this thread was because I am replacing someone's 800 for a T2Cs.
