NOTE TO ALL: by refusing to participate in this conversation, the thread sinks and we all move on. This is a futile effort. There is no reasoning with someone who doesn't understand the full scope of what they are saying or doing.

Does anyone know where I can steal some gasoline, I just bought a new car and I'll be damned if I am going to pay the guy at the gas station every time the tank is empty. I really dont care if the gas station owner is trying to make an honest living.

That situation is complete different. It's like you MUST pay for fueling. You will pay for gasoline plus you must pay for gas pump procedure, because gas pump and car's tanking system made so complex that nobody else can do this. No owner, no other gasoline seller...

I just stumbled upon this thread because I too am looking for the accelerator software after misplacing it among the numerous other junk in my office. Regardless, the entitlement of you pricks is priceless. Its no ones fault but URC for making their software easy enough for a 3rd grader to use.

You all are acting like because you install fences for a living that no one else should be able to watch a youtube video and install their own god damn fence. How about you be good at your job and sell your experience instead of trolling the forums 24 hours a day? Maybe than you would make an honest living.

How about a big fat F u buddy!!! You are asking for software that you are not entitled to NOR allowed to own. Will see if we can figure out who your dealer was because if he gave you the software, he just lost the line. You don't even know what the hell you have. You have an MRX10 and a MX780. The two don't work with one another you jackass. You are not even smart enough to learn what products you have, what works with what, and which software works with which products but have the nerve to come here and call us names. Go take a long jump off a short cliff.

I currently have the following urc products working pretty well.

mrx-10
2x mx-780
thz-100
12 mixed dimmers and switches

I am looking to purchase a second controller for the master bedroom to utilize the second remote. The dealer/installer I was using stopped responding to my emails and I can no longer locate my ccp accelerator software.

Do I need another mrx-10 or would the mrx-2 be ok in this situation? I would also be interested in purchase a few more lighting modules and possibly another copy of the accelerator sofware. I do enjoy programming myself.

My background really shouldn't have any merit on the topic. I understand you guys are trying to make a living. It shouldn't be dependent on the software. It should be your expertise with the product, your knowledge of the software and your ability to create custom macros that keeps your clients returning. If URC really wanted to restrict the software they should have setup the software with 443 logins or usb keys.

Anyway, I'm a Network and Systems Engineer.

CCIE, CISSP, VCDx to name a few certs.

It IS dependent on our knowledge and expertise of the product. I couldn't give a crap about who has the software. I have seen many DIY's "3 year old" programs though. My favorites are from the engineers that have a program so bloated with actions and they're always the only person in the house that can actually use it!!

Anyway, I'm a Network and Systems Engineer.

I love how you just added a "few" of your certs.

The old saying is so true.... How do you know the engineer in the room? They'll make sure to tell you.

I was asked about my background. And again it has no merit on a program that anyone can pickup and use in under 15 minutes.

Don't be pissed at me that what you chose to do for a living is my hobby.
