I just replaced a tv and now need to get its discretes for my MX-700. It is a Samsung LED UN55C8000 TV. Is there a place I can import discretes for this tv into MX-Editor?

I also have the MX-780 and CCP. I'm able to get discretes for my Sammy using CCP so is it possible to download the device codes using CCP and then somehow export that to MX-Editor?

Thanks,
David

You cannot export codes from CCP to another editor. Your best bet is to put the discrete codes into a 780 program and then use that remote to teach the codes to your MX700.

Learning from a URC remote wouldn't be a good idea. I don't hold URC's IR reproduction in high regard, so who knows what you'll get on the other end. Better to start with clean codes:

Import the hex or assemble the hex into a Pronto CCF file and then import that.

I keep a 780 on the truck and have used it to learn codes into all sorts of things, including Editors for older URC remotes clients have. Has worked everytime without fail.

Learning from your MX780 will work just fine.

Agreed. Have learned hundreds and hundreds of codes using URC remotes and never had a single problem.

Thank you for your replies. I've been downloading the codes to the 780 then learning them onto the 700. A little painful but at least it gets the job done. Thanks again!

So, how did you obtain your CCP software. I got a MX-780, but cannot find a source for software......dealers in my area will not support me.
