I have tried everything except VMWare. Nothing seems to work on my new computer.
When I download it, I will advise. It may be operator error on my part. I just don't have unlimited time to mess with it.

You're running it in administrator mode correct? You downloaded and installed the 32bit version of Mobile Device center correct?

I just installed CCP on Win7 x64. Went into device manager and found the unknown device. I went in to the device and went to update driver then I navigated to c:\Program Files(x86)\Universal Remote Control, Inc\Complete Control Program\MX-980\Drivers\Windows 7_Vista to find the drivers. I do not have that Microsoft Mobile crap installed and wish it would stop asking to install it. Works perfect.
