Don't do that much programming but do have the latest MX Editor and database and could use some expert advice from this community.

just yesterday Dish Network installed the new Hopper and (2) Joey's. Needless to say my MX900 will need some new programming.

This morning I went looking for an updated IR database that included the Hopper, Joey and my new TV Panasonic TC-P50GT50 with N2QAYB000703 remote.

Turns out the latest database doesn't include any of this hardware. Sure I'll start trying some similar hardware codes and in worst case start the learning process but I thought I'd ask if anyone has any experience with this newer equipment and if so some advise and a possible solution.

Have seen some comments about the Hopper working with VIP922 codes but again I don't see the 922 in the database.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and really appreciate any comments/advice/suggestions.

Steve

Thank You for your help.

Use codeset 122. The Hopper out of the box is set to RF only. You have to go into the menu and change it to IR&RF.
All high's, all low's, it must be.......

When I changed out a vip622 for a hopper/joey the 622 codes worked with no changes required. As stated above, the Hopper defaults to RF only. One word of warning - occaisionally Dish pushes an update to the Hopper that resets it to RF only - you'll need to have the Dish remote available to turn the Hopper IR back on.

Another note - the hopper and joey only allow a single IR code set - you can't set each receiver to a different IR code set as you used to be able to do with the earlier receivers. If your URC remote was programmed to use Dish IR codesets 2 or higher you'll have to reprogram using the Dish codes for the default codeset.
