Does anyone know how to program in a macro for the URC MX-450 to set the Volume to a certain level. For example when I "listen music" I want my macro to turn on my receiver then set receiver volume to a level of -42.0, but when I "watch Uverse" I want my macro to turn on Receiver then set receiver volume to -15.0. I know you can issue volume+ or volume- commands in the macro but not sure of a way to set it to a certain volume level. I am new here to please forgive me if this has been discussed before, I did a search but could not find anything. Thanks very much.

This is more a limitation of the receiver - they're not designed for that. A few (you don't say what you have) have specific codes to set certain reference levels. Otherwise... masses of volume- and volume+ commands may or (more likely) may not work (you'd have to issue enough volume- commands to always set it to the minimum level, and then enough volume+ to get to the level you want).

You won't be able to unless your AV Receiver has IR codes for specific volume levels, or allows you to create and save "volume level presets" in the receiver. I think that certain high-end Yamaha receivers might have (or had) that feature.
Fixed volume levels are typically done using two-way serial or IP control. A bit further up the remote control "food chain" than the MX-450.
If your receiver has input adjustment settings, you can raise or lower source volumes a bit that way.
