Never had a problem with Sharp TVs before. Do none of the other LC models in the IR database work?

Last I heard (about a month ago) they do not support discrete power via IR, yet. Someone also posted about this over in the CI lounge. Way to go Sharp! We are holding off even considering selling new Sharp sets until this is worked out...supposedly via firmware update.

Odd, the new 70" panel's discreets worked perfectly. Haven't tried any other Sharp models lately though

****ooooopss this was for a sharp bluray. sorry!!****
This one took some digging. A lot of players that don't have discrete power Ons, you can use "play". Not so with this player.
Press "Setup" for power on.
For power off, "Setup", then a delay, then the toggle power.
Enjoy!
