I have the above remote with rf ir router and samsung bluray player. I created the device and programmed in the device via the database. I can control the BD-P2500 utilizing ir but I need to control it with the RF function. I set the remote to transmit to the BD-P2500 via rf. I changed it from "all" to port 2. Right now I just need to turn on the bluray player via rf. When I push the power button, I see the IR blaster flash but nothing happens. If I point the remote at the bluray player and I have it set to IR, it turns it on and off just fine.

Now that I have told you my story, can anyone help me out with some ideas on how to get the mx-880 controlling the bd-p2500 via rf.

Thanks
Bill

That player wants the IR emitter in a very specific spot and it's nearly impossible to see through the front. I fought with this for some time and eventually found it by holding the emitter a foot away while holding a button on the remote, zero in on the exact right spot. Has worked perfectly ever since. I would definitely recommend silicone or hot glue to stick it on permanently because it doesn't take much to mess it up. Use emitter only, turn iR blaster off, and set to RF only.

Also on that player, in order to get pause to work you are going to have to update it's firmware and learn the pause button from the factory remote to URC.

Thank you very very much. I thought I knew where the ir receiver was and did not. It was in a totally different area in the front of the bluray player.

Thanks again
Bill
