I'm trying to program a msc400 using a mx6000 the goal is to use one remote to control three different areas Gym,Theater,Game room. I have programed many URC remote in my life but haven't work with this new programing. I can add a differrent remote for each area but do they end up having different addresses? It seems to me they will. I can make the three rooms common to each other and
program it with different macros to control diffret thing in different areas it's a little less confusing the other way but whatever has anyone done this and how did you go about it.

I haven't done a 6000 yet. On any other URC remote, however, I have found that for multiple zones it is best to give each room a separate watch/listen page with activities laid out similarly for each room. Also, if you have devices like a cable box that are common to each room, you must create a separate device for the common component for each room so that your volume and power off buttons are using the appropriate codes for that particular room's TV volume or AV receiver.

Yes, you will have to tell the remote what room you are in each time you power up - page over to the appropriate room (page) in Watch/ Listen, that is unless you are good with logic statements/nested macros. I need to learn how to do this! Hope this helps.

Check out the sample file I have made available on the site here - thats what I did for my 2 zones. I have an updated (quite a bit more logic) /corrected version I can send you if you want.
