Hello,
I just purchased an 880 and I am seeing a lot of posts regarding updates and CCP files, also saw some real cool graphics that you folks import and export. Question is am I over my head with this remote? Is there a manual to download? My past experience is the use of the MX 850, imports and exports with macros as well. Thanks.

There isn't a lot you can do with the MX-880 and graphics as it's limited to the ones that come with the software. The manual for any of the remotes in imbedded in PDF form in the software under "Help".

Incorrect. As stated directly on Universal's website:

"Additionally, companies with their own custom graphics can add them to the visible themes in the Editor by simply
creating matching and correctly sized artwork in a new folder in the Graphics directory of MX-880 Editor."

It takes some know-how, but well within the reach of possible.

This works for a 980.
Wikimedia allows you to copy logo's for TV channels not listed in CCP into a folder. Then I copy the re sized image into the 980 TV logo file of CCP. It takes some fiddling to get the size right as each logo is different. Then I place the re sized image over a blank button as a picture.  I've imported WE, Nick Jr, The N, and Palladia. Great for missing favorite channels. I've also done this with my own pictures for please wait pages. I bet you may be able to do the same thing.

Trial and Error Baby. No, know-how necessary.
Instead of asking me why my price is high ask the other guys why they are low.

Thanks for all the replies, actually I found some logo's on the pre-loaded software, ESPN, ABC stuff like that. Anyone have logos available?

Sorry, I should have taken my own advise and looked at the programming manual.

To add graphics files:

Go to C:\Program Files\Universal Remote Control, Inc\Complete Control Program\MX-880\Images\Alpha\Icons and add your graphics.

Then, when selecting "Devices" under the "Program" tab, the added images should be available in the display of images to the right. You then have to create a new device with the image. These buttons can be then copy/pasted to other pages and devices. You can then delete the created device.

It's clunky, but it works. The MX-980 is much easier, as you can use custom graphics for any button just by importing them for each button.
