The 250's output can be too strong for some IR receiving eyes. There's not much you can do other than moving the emitter away from the eye and/or placing a piece of black electrical tape with a pinhole in it over the eye. Other tape methods can work as well, but obviously that's not a clean solution. The benefit of the MRF-300 is that you can turn down (or up) the output level of each emitter.

Thanks Surf Remote. I returned the 250 and have the 300 on order. I will post the results.

What's the sat box you're trying to control?

It is a D10 (or D-10) DirecTv receiver.
When I control it directly from the MX-350 using line-of-sight IR only, it works great (but since I have 4 identical boxes to control, this won't work).
When I introduce the 250 into the mix I get spotty results (status light on the 250 blinks like it should but the Sat box(es) only respond to every fourth command or so.

I believe that's a TiVo made box.

Try the suggestions Mike (SurfRemote) made and see if they help. There is one other method he didn't mention, which is using scotch brand removable double sided black foam mounting tape, but that stuff can be hard to find.

The 300 fixed everything. Potted down all the IR transmitters and now the system works great. Thanks everyone.
