I have an MX-700 remote, bought over 3 years ago (and I don't even remember from where but it wasn't on eBay). I just registered the remote tonight, but I was only able to get the MX-700 Editor 1.12.282 version, which doesn't have the Samsung 2007 Discrete codes that I need for my Samsung HL67A750 TV, I think I just need HDMI2 and HDMI3 for discrete codes. I've searched all of the files and forum threads here, and unfortunately have had no luck.

Does anyone have an idea how I can get discrete codes? THANKS!

Did you try any of the preprogrammed Samsung codes in the download?

Yes, the old Samsung codes did not work for me, I need the Samsung 2007 Discrete codes, which my version (the latest downloadable version from the URC website) does not have. :(

I had the same issue and spent most of yesterday finding discrete codes from various sources that work with the HL67A750. I compiled them all into a device file and uploaded it here yesterday. It should also work for the HL61A750. Not sure how long it usually takes before files are available for download, but hopefully it's not too long. The device file includes most discrete codes that would be commonly used including HDMI 1, 2, and 3. Also has programming for all the hard buttons on the MX-700.

I understand I'm not supposed to badmouth URC for this situation on the forum, but I'm having a real hard time holding back....

Raffin,
I just got a hl56a650 and from what I understand the discrete codes are the same. I have a TSU3000 and not a URC. I downloaded the software for the MX-700 in hopes that I could rip the discrete codes out and paste them in my software. The MX-700 software doesnt seem to want to open a .mxd file.... only .mxf files. So.... can you either tell me how to get the discrete codes out of that file or just post the hex for those discrete codes for me? I'll love you forever if you do!!!

The only way you could get those codes out is if you have an MX-700 (or similar) to download them to. Otherwise URC's hex code support is one-way import only. (But to answer your question, right click over a device name on the tree on the left and select "Import Device").

crupp,

Unfortunately I don't even have the right version of the MX editor to input discrete hex codes. I just found these from a few different mxd files, imported them into the editor and then moved the buttons that worked for the HL67A750 to a new device and exported it. I also just figured out that the power on/off codes are not discrete. Time to resume the search I guess. I'm going to call URC as well and see if I can't get the full version of the software.

I have a MX-850 and tried your files. The discrete codes for HDMI 1, 2 and 3 work great however I am not having luck with the discrete power on and off. The power buttons are still acting as a toggle switch and not discrete commands. Am I doing something wrong? Where do you have your discrete on and off buttons mapped to on the remote?

On a side note, I was able to download the latest version of the MX editor software and update the database(thanks to my retailer for helping me out with that). The updated database has the HL67A750 but does not have the discrete HDMI buttons or power on and off.

Thanks for your work and for posting the file.

I mistakenly thought I had the discreet power codes, but realized after I posted the device file they were actually just toggles. I did eventually find the discreet power codes, tested them thoroughly to make sure they worked correctly, updated the device file and uploaded it last night. The new discreet power codes are on page 4. Based on past history it should be available for download in a few days.

I see that the file upload page shows an updated date, however the actual file date is the same as before and the file appears to be the same. Did the site not update the file?

Thanks!

My fault. I uploaded the wrong file. I'll upload the correct one tonight.

Hi Raffin, Any chance you have the plane hex codes? I'm still playing with a TSU2000 and trying to get my HL61A750 working with discrete codes. The only ones I see listed on the Pronto Professional are missing power-on

It figures... as soon as I post I realize that the Pronto software requires you to save any changes before testing the IR codes. I had already rev-eng the code and was scratching my head wondering why I couldn't get it to work :)
