I just started programming my MX-3000. Got just about finished learning all the ir commands so I thought I would try it out. Only one or two of the buttons actually work. The learning process went well and seem to take all of the buttons. But when I try to use the remote, as I said above only one or two of the buttons actually work. I am using one of the complete systems downloaded from the files section. No errors or anything like that. Had some trouble getting it to sync but after I updated the sync program it connected no problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

why did you learn all of the codes. Did you try the codes in the Code Library?

I am trying that now but having some trouble downloading the file to the remote. I am trying to do it on my mac running virtual pc. Worse case I will just go to my pc and redo it. Even so learning should work.

There are many more reasons than you would like to know as a newbie as to why learning IR can fail. Here is a link to get you started. Read through this and get some ideas and if after you do this you are still having problems, report back here with more details.

I am in the process of using the ir library and hopefully that works much better. Thanks for all your help. I am also having another little problem. I am having trouble keeping a stable connection between the remote and the computer. I have the latest active sync software along with the updated editing software, that seem to work at first but now is seems to lose the connection often. Rebooting seems to work for a while.
