I would like to program tv network icons to certain channels on my Direct TV. Would anyone know how to do this? I'm kind of a novice and stumbling through trying to set this up. Please help! Thanks for any input. :)

You would just link the icon (button) to a macro that will select the channel it represents. Like... 1 then 0 then 2 and then enter if needed.
For my system that is the science channel #102
You would need to program the macro to work exactly as if you were selecting the channel manually yourself. Ken

Load all of your channel icons in the order you want them first. Then click on an icon, turn on record in the macro window, navigate to your cable box or dss receiver (whichever device changes channels in your system), then hit the coressponding numbers for that channel. A little delay may help unless your system can change channels fast. You may also add enter or select to the end of the macro. I always do this to make the device change channels faster. When complete, click on save macro, you can also test it to make sure it works. Do a download to the remote and you are done. I also like to save all of my favorites which I can download to the next remote I program. Just export all of them as a device and import them back into the remote. I have a set for sat and cable.
