Is there any way to manually pause a macro once the macro has started?

Would there be a way to insert something to stop the macro like a button to end or continue the macro?

A macro is a linear sequence of comands. If you want to stop it, you can stop it or insert a delay (which will make the remote unusable while the macro is still running) and program more commands after the delay.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish? Maybe there is anoher approach.

I wanted to take some pictures and use some of my extra pages to make a background slide show but want to be able to stop it if necessary.

The best way to do this is to have a manual ---> button to scroll through the pictures.. If you want to have it slow a slide show when the unit is placed down you may be out of luck - and probably battery power as well ...

As Vincent said, you would need to trigger that manually with a button press. The slideshow would also need to be an animated gif, not a macro or page flip.

Well I could make the whole thing an animated gif. That way it could be stopped at any time. I don't know why you say it can't be done as a macro or page flip because it can be done as vbova27 suggests and be just a simple page+ slide show or done with a macro + delay.

Yes, but what he's suggesting is completely done manually by pressing a button to scroll through each picture. I was under the impression that you wanted it to be completely automatic, since you wanted to use a macro.

If you're going to use macros, it can only loop as many times as you tell it (without stopping), or you can have two nested macros which go back and forth - but you'll lock up the remote.
