I have a satellite receiver located upstairs wired to multiple rooms via coax. A user can control the satellite receiver from any room with the RF remote control that came in the box.

My goal is to control the HTS in the main room and the satellite receiver located elsewhere, all with 1 controller in RF mode. I understand that I am not able to program a RF controller to transmit to the satellite receiver's RF frequency. My thought is that I may be able locate a RF receiver with the HTS and another with the satellite receiver.

My specific questions are:
1) Do all MRF-100 basestations receive on the same RF frequency? So that signals from a controller like the URC-200 would be received by both.
2) If no to question 1, can a pair of MRF-200 basestations be configured to receive on the same frequency?

1) Yes to both questions.
2) The MRF-250 or 300 can be set at the same receiver IDs and will both respond to one remote, but with the MX-800 and up, you can set RF control by device, so you wouldn't need both MRFs to be on the same ID.

This doesn't apply if you only intend to use a single MX remote, but keep in mind URC that even on the base stations with multiple address, there's still only one single frequency. If you try to use two MX remotes in RF mode at the same time they can and will suffer RF interference and buttons presses will get dropped.

While theoretically this is tru, in real life 2 wont be an issue. I have jobs with 7 going at once and its not a problem. The only issue tha would arise would be if a long macro was executing and someone else at the exact same time was sending a command.

Possible yet not very probable
