Hi Ernie, I also have an IBM Thinkpad T43p with a genuine IBM Think Pad docking station, running XP Pro and a serial port. Tried to connect it to this also, after downloading the Pronto Edit 4 software....still to no avail and with the same error message.
I am wondering if this a PC problem where the ports need to be set or something like that. Do yo uknow if this is normal for this type of Pronto or should it connect automatically?
