Symptoms: client says doesn't work. Has been working for one year.

Power supply is dead. URC Customer service says sure, I can use a 12 volt regulated (Niles) power supply. Now the Power light comes on.
The Status light does not light, except with the rotary switch in position 0, and then only very briefly after I push and hold the volume up or down button. Other commands run through the 260 cause no response.
Reloaded the program into the 850. Replaced batteries. No change.
Changed the settings in the program to IR & RF, and then the remote works perfectly when the doors are open. So the commands are not somehow screwy.
We have no idea why the first power supply died.
Customer service says return the 260 and pay a flat fee of $40 for repair, giving a new one year warranty. I'm leaving the system able to work via IR until we've got a fixed unit.
