I'm running Windows 7 RTM as my sole OS now on my production laptop, and have gotten everything to work perfect. For the MX-3000 and MX-980, you just have to download windows mobile device center 6.1 and install it. Then plug in the remote, and manually find the driver in the installation folder of the URC remote you plugged in. I noticed for some reason the graphics run a little slower, but everything else runs a lot faster so it's a fair trade off. If you still run into problems, just run the program in XPM (as long as your CPU supports it). To update you only need run as administrator.
