I just realized that the output from the power supply is a little stronger than the original power supply. I will purchase a new repeater system at this point. Thanks for your help. I will respond with the outcome once I find one.

What systems are similiar to Proficient's Infrared System? The Proficient system can only be ordered through a dealer.

I have a very long yellow cable that extends from the ir hub to the ir receiver in the other room through my attic. It seems to be an IR input extention. Should I replace that too?
